Privacy statement

IT-Checklist takes your privacy seriously. This statement explains which data we process and why.

The IT check

The results of the IT check are stored anonymously to keep track of average scores and statistics. We do not store any name, email address, IP address or other personal data with them.

Contact form

If you fill in the contact form, we keep the data you provide (name, email address and optionally phone number and company name) solely to get in touch with you. This data is not shared with third parties and is deleted once it is no longer needed.

Cookies

This website always uses two essential cookies: one to remember your language preference and one to remember your cookie preferences. In addition, the cookie banner lets you give separate consent for statistics (Google Analytics, which anonymously measures how the site is used), basic advertising (Google AdSense places and measures ads), and personalized advertising (Google AdSense tailors ads to your interests). If you switch a category off, we do not use those cookies — for advertising we still show non-personalized ads in that case, based on the page content instead of your data.

For statistics and advertising we work with Google. Google may receive and process the data described above according to its own policies; see how Google uses data. You can change your preferences at any time via ā€˜Cookie settings’ at the bottom of the page.

US privacy rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a resident of California or another US state with similar legislation, you can request which data we hold about you, have it deleted, and opt out of the ā€˜sale or sharing’ of data — which under this legislation also covers personalized advertising via Google AdSense. You can do this via the cookie banner (turn off ā€˜personalized advertising’) or via the contact form. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, we automatically recognize and honor it as such an opt-out request.
